“Jacobs Live” Celebrates 500 shows!
On Monday, April 27th, 2009, “Jacobs Live” made history by becoming TCAM TV’s first studio program ever to hit 500 shows! Hosted by Taunton resident Bob Jacobs, the very popular and at times, controversial, weekly, hour long call-in program has been on the air since January of 1998. The platform for the program is Taunton city politics and current issues that affect the city. Many politicians, including Governor Deval Patrick, Taunton Mayor Charles Crowley and Bristol County D.A. Sam Sutter have appeared as guests on the show. A forum unlike any other, “Jacobs Live” has brought many important issues to the forefront on a weekly basis over the past 11 years.
The 90 minute, 500th episode special began with a skit of “Bob Jacobs” talking to his alter ego “Angry Bob Jacobs”.
“Angry Bob Jacobs” then stormed off the set and sadly, suffered a mild heart attack in the TCAM TV studio hallway. He is doing okay, and we hear the he will most likely make future appearances on the show.
The episode continued with appearances by Bob’s wife, son, daughter, daughter-in-law and grandson, friends Donna Colajezzi, Mike Kerr (both TCAM TV Board Members), and Joanne & Rick Weldon. Local politicians including Mayor Charles Crowley, City Councilors David Pottier and Dan Barbour and School Committee Member Barry Cooperstein were also guests on the show. The program also included an 11 minute retrospective video of “Jacobs Live” highlights from 1998 until the present.
We would like to congratulate Bob on his 500th show and a job well done!

“The Dessert Club” celebrates its 100th Episode on TCAM TV.
Article by Kimberly Matthews
On Thursday, March 20th, 2008, Steve Toli reached a landmark when he produced and hosted the 100th episode of his musical program, “The Dessert Club”at the Taunton Community Access & Media, Inc. studio on Main Street in Taunton.
Toli, whose passion for music motivated him to start the program four and half years ago, has highlighted dozens of folk/acoustic musicians on his program. The half hour show consists of Toli interviewing musical talents interspersed with songs from the guests. His hour long 100th episode includes musical clips from many local artists, such as Kerri Powers, Maria Ventura and Mike Higgins.
When asked how it felt to do 100 shows Steve said “It feels awesome. It’s hard to believe I could bring that much music to our community. Not to mention the singer/songwriter competition we had (a separate series Toli hosted in 2004) – that was a blast.”

Cub Scout Pack 29, Annawon Council of Taunton recently visited the studio for a tour and produced their very own Public Service Announcement that played on TCAM.
Great job guys!
