Local cable access program, “The 57 Show” recently celebrated it’s 25th episode at the Taunton Community Access & Media, Inc.
studio in Taunton.
The program, which began shooting in August of 2005, is sponsored by D.A.V. Chapter 57-a group that refers to themselves as the “The Can Do Chapter”. They’re not kidding.
The show is produced, written , edited and hosted entirely by members of the Taunton Chapter 57 Disabled American Veterans organization.

The 25th episode included a commentary from the shows’ host, John Fielding and the shows’ news announcer Mort Morin, as they introduced clips from the past 24 episodes of the program.
There was also a 4 minute clip from former show co-host, Bob Doherty. Doherty, a former Prisoner of War, WWII veteran and author, hosted the show until recently and will now continue to
contribute to the show with monthly commentaries.
Paul Waldron serves as the show’s organizer, producer and editor. The production crew over the past two years has included Dick Lavoie, Steve Horton, Louie Demers, Pete Fox and Norm Willoughby. Willoughby recently filled in as co-host, and will do so in the future, rotating with other Chapter 57 members who will also co-host.
“The 57 Show” provides valuable information to veterans and their families about healthcare, benefits and more. Their guests have included doctors in various areas of medical expertise, and military officials who have come on the show and shared their own experiences.
The 25th episode will air on TCAM 15 (Taunton Channel 15)
Every Tuesday & Thursday at 7:00pm, from August 16th until September 6th. Please tune in!
